Centrelink does offer a variety of payments to assist with funeral expenses. A guideline is listed below.

Married Pensioners - The surviving partner may receive a lump sum bereavement payment of up to seven payments when the Pension is adjusted to a single entitlement.

Carer’s Pension - The carer may be entitled to a bereavement payment of up to seven pay periods.

Sole Parent Pension - The parent may be entitled to a bereavement payment of up to seven pay periods
